Ampianaro (Teach) is about the importance of education. Many village parents view school as a waste of time. But having a diploma has a value that can never be lost. “Teach us” and “Going to school is our right” are written on the slate the child holds.
“Bilo” refers to a state of possession, or being influenced by a spirit. The cure is music and celebration.
People are anxious about the activity of the dahalo (bandits). But when they hear the alert “Hazolava!”, the neighbors come together to fight and protect the village.

Based in Tuléar, the ensemble grew out of the Atsimozika musical project in 2017, initiated and supported by the Vakok’Arts collective and the Alliance Française.
In 2021, the band performed at the leading venues of the capital, Antananarivo, and recorded their first album, produced and coached by Maximin Njava.
